COVER interviews holoplus team as official app marks third anniversary

COVER Corporation has posted a new COVERedge feature to mark three years of holoplus, the official hololive production app that launched in August 2023 under the line “All about your Oshi. One app.” The interview is with T, manager of the holoplus team in COVER’s Commerce Department. The app is described as more than a news feed: it collects talent updates and also runs fan tools such as real-time polls and holoQ, where users can post anonymously on a set topic. Moderation is handled in-house so trolling can be removed quickly, and the team still aims to build “the warmest community in the world.” One talent has called the app a haven compared with more public platforms. A major shift came in September 2025, when talents themselves were allowed to post. Talent and user posts sit in separate areas so the two sides can mix without the fan space disappearing. COVER also highlights automatic translation, which lets fans in different countries reply to the same update. hololive Indonesia’s Kureiji Ollie has been the app’s global ambassador since July 2025. Recent stream tie-ins include Shirakami Fubuki and Omaru Polka’s radio show “Fox Clan Secret Meeting,” day-by-day recaps of Shishiro Botan’s June Minecraft project “holo Minecraft Money-Making Survival 2,” and Hakui Koyori’s weekly morning program “Morning Koyo!” Voice messages of up to one minute were added after user requests. The app has also been linked to official shops and events, including photo posts after in-store purchases and lottery prizes collected at venues. T says the team is deliberately not setting a rigid medium- or long-term plan. Because talents and fan communities change quickly, holoplus will keep steering toward whatever users and talents find fun at the time.
