COVERedge reported on the second Cover Showcase, an internal event held at COVER’s headquarters in late May 2026. The event lets employees experience and discuss technologies and services developed by the company, with the goal of sharing knowledge across departments and finding new applications for projects supporting hololive production.
The expanded showcase included demonstrations of the hololive app’s facial and hand tracking, experimental VR experiences, a glasses-free spatial reproduction display, faster merchandise planning, internal art and streaming tools, a webcam-based facial capture system under development, and holo Indie games. The spatial display uses Sony’s ELF-SR2 and is also featured at the hololive production official shop in Harajuku. COVER notes that showcased prototypes are not guaranteed to become public services, but cross-team collaboration can lead to improvements in talent broadcasts and fan experiences.
