Hatsune Miku and Rift of the NecroDancer open “Rift or Treat” Halloween fan-art event

Brace Yourself Games, developer of *Rift of the NecroDancer*, has teamed up with Crypton Future Media for a Halloween community art event titled “Rift or Treat.” Crypton Future Media’s official Hatsune Miku account (@cfm_miku) retweeted the studio’s call for entries. The brief is to draw Hatsune Miku and/or a character from the *Rift of the NecroDancer* base game in a Halloween costume, heading out to trick or treat. Third-party brands and other intellectual properties are not allowed. Each person may send one Hatsune Miku outfit and one Rift character outfit. Work must be original, previously unpublished, and free of AI generation or AI-assisted edits. NSFW, discriminatory, or infringing content is disqualified. Submissions are accepted worldwide from fans who have reached the age of majority in their place of residence. Files should be PNG or JPEG, at least 1 MB, and uploaded through the official Google Form. The window runs from September 14, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on October 4, 2026. Late entries will not be accepted. Up to two designs may be chosen: one Rift character, picked by a Discord community vote from Brace Yourself Games finalists (voting October 6–12, 2026 PT), and one Hatsune Miku design chosen by Crypton Future Media. Results are due on October 13, 2026. Selected art may be adapted into official Rift Profile portraits in *Rift of the NecroDancer*; selected participants may also receive a DLC Music Pack of their choice (approximate retail value US$7.49). In-game inclusion is not guaranteed. Full rules are on the Brace Yourself Games site. This report is based on the @cfm_miku retweet and the official event rules.
