Yamaha has released a special trial version of the VOCALOID6 voicebank Hatsune Miku V6 (Japanese / English). Once installed, all functions can be used for 31 days. Hatsune Miku V6 is a virtual singer software for VOCALOID6 developed with Crypton Future Media's Hatsune Miku. Yamaha provides the VOCALOID6 singing synthesis technology and Editor, while the character Hatsune Miku is managed by Crypton Future Media. The voicebank supports Japanese and English, with Chinese support planned for the future. It uses the VOCALOID:AI engine, with automatic breath insertion, automatic English singing when English spelling is entered, machine-learning-based pitch, dynamics, timing and accent, editable pitch and volume curves, TAKE function for harmonies, and Expression parameter for voice tension. The trial corresponds to the commercial Voicebank edition. The commercial lineup has two download editions: a Voicebank edition bundled with VOCALOID6 Editor Lite (limited functions, standalone operation, up to 2 tracks), and a Starter Pack bundled with the full VOCALOID6 Editor plus Cubase AI for music production. The bundled HARUKA/AKITO and other VOCALOID6 default voicebanks are not included in the Starter Pack. System requirement stated on the official page: VOCALOID6 series Version 6.12.0 or later / VOCALOID6 Editor Lite is required to use the voicebank. Users who want full production should obtain the commercial Voicebank or Starter Pack from the VOCALOID official website after trying the trial. Official announcement date is July 6, 2026. The VOCALOID official X account introduced the trial on July 14, 2026.
