hololive Launches Visual Update Initiative
Summary
hololive production is beginning a multi-year visual update program for its talents ahead of its 10th anniversary. The first update is for Tokino Sora, whose new appearance will debut in a dedicated live stream.
hololive production has announced a long-term “visual update” initiative as part of its run-up to the company’s 10th anniversary. Rather than replacing a talent’s history, the program will refine regular outfits and visual presentation in consultation with each individual, reflecting current activities, future ambitions, and advances in Live2D, 3D, and live-production technology.
Updates may range from polishing an existing design to revisiting motifs and costumes, or making more substantial changes. They will be introduced gradually over several years, with roughly five to eight talents per year currently envisioned; the order will not represent a ranking or priority. Tokino Sora is the first participant, and her new look will be unveiled in a reveal live stream: https://www.youtube.com/live/t38GnSLYjpE
