THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID opens TuneCore Japan additional audition through September 13

Yamaha and TuneCore Japan have opened an additional audition for the VOCALOID-focused production program THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID. The extra TuneCore Japan slot is intended to expand the number of VOCALOID producers who can appear on the show. Applications are open from Thursday, August 27, 2026 through Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 23:59. About two acts are scheduled to be selected for program appearances, with notification planned for Sunday, September 20, 2026. Selected participants are expected to produce an original VOCALOID song under a 72-hour limit from Tuesday, September 22 through Thursday, September 24, 2026, with filming planned for Monday, September 28, 2026. People who already applied directly to THE CREATE feat. VOCALOID may apply again through this TuneCore Japan round. Applicants must have a DAW-based production setup, be able to submit original work that does not infringe others’ copyrights, and be available for recording and publicity. Songs made with generative AI are not accepted. There are no restrictions on age, gender or nationality; minors need parental consent. Applications are limited to one per account and must be submitted through TuneCore Japan’s audition page. The overall program is produced by Yamaha. The eventual winner is to receive 1 million yen in activity support, a song implementation in the smartphone rhythm-action and English-learning app Risdom (developed jointly by Benesse and Sega XD), and broader support from Yamaha.
