VOCALOID3–5 voicebanks not shown in VOCALOID6 Editor on macOS 27 GoldenGate, workaround published
Summary
On macOS 27 GoldenGate, VOCALOID3–5 voicebanks may not appear in VOCALOID6 Editor. Yamaha published a workaround involving reinstallation with Rosetta 2 and advises contacting support if it remains unresolved.
Yamaha has confirmed an issue on macOS 27 GoldenGate where installed VOCALOID3 to VOCALOID5 voicebanks do not appear correctly in VOCALOID6 Editor.
The issue affects users who install legacy VOCALOID3–5 voicebanks on macOS 27 GoldenGate and then try to use them in VOCALOID6 Editor. Yamaha asks affected users to try the following steps:
1. Open the "VOCALOID3–5" folder inside the "Application" folder, then run the uninstaller in the "Uninstaller" folder to remove the voicebank.
2. If prompted to install Rosetta 2 during uninstallation, proceed with the installation.
3. After Rosetta 2 is installed, run the VOCALOID3–5 voicebank installer again.
In some cases, this procedure allows VOCALOID6 Editor to recognize the voicebank normally. If the problem persists, users should contact VOCALOID support through the official website.
This is not a new feature or sale, but compatibility and support information affecting existing users. Users on macOS 27 GoldenGate should review the workaround and support guidance.
